Well let's move on down here to this chicken. I have a roasted off chicken here
0:06
and I'm just gonna remove the skin and just take the meat off the bone
0:13
After I get this chicken picked, we're gonna make just a curried chicken salad
0:21
Good. So you'll just want to de-bone, de-vein, de-skin your chicken. All right, I'm going to add a half a cup of celery that's been diced. And then I'm going to add
0:39
I love this ingredient, I'm going to add a can of diced water chestnuts. It's going to give it
0:45
a crunch. And then I'm going to come over here and I'm going to cut these beautiful red grapes
0:51
in half and toss them in. Alright, I've finished up with our grapes
0:55
Now I'm going to quickly put this chicken salad together. I've got
0:59
slivered almonds. And so I'm going to put a half a cup
1:03
of those in. Alright, now I'm going to mix up our dressing real quick
1:09
Got a cup of mayonnaise. About to get like the butter, isn't it, y'all
1:15
Alright, I'm going to add a tablespoon of just a store-bought chutney
1:30
I'm gonna add a tablespoon of soy sauce, one and a half teaspoons of curry powder and it strong All right now I gonna add a little bit of lemon juice to give that a little
1:49
kick. All right there we go and I'm just gonna blend that together. There is no telling how many
2:02
different kinds of chicken salad I have made. I know I used to make a chicken and rice salad
2:10
that you ate cold, and I love that one, and I would put curry in that, but this one has the
2:17
grapes instead, the fruit, and a lot of women like a chicken salad with the fruit in it. It's
2:24
filling and just makes it a nice balanced lunch. So we're just going to toss that in our curry
2:32
mayonnaise. I've got some wonderful butter lettuce that's just, it goes down like butter
2:43
It's just so easy to eat. I just love it. While that's browning, I'm going to
2:48
just pile up our chicken salad in that wonderful lettuce. Look at that. Doesn't it look good
3:05
Real enticing. Curried mayonnaise is wonderful. But what makes this dish is those grapes and those crunchy almonds
3:17
It's so, so good
