Chilled Zucchini Soup

I tell you what, let's move on down here and let me teach you how to make some chilled zucchini soup

You want me to cut this onion? Well, you know what? Y'all make me, yes, I want you to cut this onion

Lauren's mother's here with her. And between the two of them, they make me sound like I got a northern accent, and that ain't no lie

So, Lauren, to start the soup, if you'll just chop that onion, I'll get the zucchini down to size

and it's all going into the pot along with two cups of chicken stock and some salt and pepper

And then we'll just let it sit for about eight minutes. Well. Was your heart just pounding

Yeah. I mean, I made it all the way to the top too. Right

At that point, it's like you're just so excited that you made it that far, whatever happens

Yes. I wanted to win so bad. I'm not going to lie

I'd be lying if I said whatever. Of course. Of course you wanted to win. But, you know, I've gotten to do some amazing things since then

Like, I went on tour with Sugar Land. I got to sing for the president

I've done some really awesome things. About 18 years old. I'm blessed

That's for sure. Yes, honey. But to go back to that moment of thinking if it's yes or no

if you're first or second, it's going to be over if you don't win. So in that moment, you know, it doesn't stop me

Did you think you were going to win? No. Girls don usually win shows like that because girls vote and if they think someone cute they going to vote for them

I'm completely fine with it now. Like, I wouldn't trade it for the world

You know, I didn't win, but I did win. Because I'm with you now

Well, thank you, darling. Now I'm going to add a cup of mayonnaise, and I'm just going to eyeball this

That mayonnaise is going to cream this out. And I added a teaspoon of lemon juice

Now I'm going to add a splash of half and half. Okay. Hit it, baby

Oh, yeah. All right. So now we're going to put this. We're just going to pour this into it

Oh, that looks so good. Doesn't that look delicious? It does. Look at that

Yes. All right. So we're going to put this in the fridge because, you know, if you're going to..

It's going to cool. Yes. It's going to be cold. We want to get it cold, cold

Because if you're going to eat a cold soup, you want it cold, cold

So I'm going to sit this in our refrigerator and let this get nice and cold
