Hey, y'all, you found your way to the Paula Deen Network
0:10
And you know what the best part is? We didn't have to waste any time. This was done already. That's right, done already
0:14
So you can whip this up in 15 minutes. Today is leftover makeover
0:19
And Jesse Blanco, my guest in the kitchen today, is going to help me
0:24
Now, everybody here in Savannah knows Jesse Blanco. Jesse has his own cooking show
0:29
called Eat It and Like It. That's right. And that's what we're gonna do
0:33
with these leftover chicken fingers. We're gonna make a... Buffalo chicken po' boy
0:38
That's exactly right. He's gonna eat it and he's gonna like it. That's right, absolutely
0:42
Well, let's get started. All right. So here's what we're gonna do, Jesse. We had some leftover chicken fingers from last night. Mm-hmm
0:49
They have a crust on them. Right. I think that we ought to kind of
0:52
just knock some of the crust off and make them kind of half-naked. Absolutely, yeah
0:56
They'll be less soggy that way. Yes, less soggy. Why don't we just kind of do this
1:00
Get naked? Yeah, just kind of get them a little naked. You know, that crust gets a little much
1:06
It does, but a lot of people will say that where the flavor is So we kind of meet you halfway right Well it going to have some crust on it Yeah absolutely And we just going to throw them on a cookie sheet and we going to put them in the oven 350 seven or eight minutes
1:19
I prefer that you get the butt shot. How about going in the oven with that
1:22
Very good. Butt can. Thank you. All right. I'll try to get it
1:27
So much better for Jessie's butt than mine. All right, so if you would be making the buffalo sauce for us
1:36
and that's so simple. We'll have a stick of butter, half a cup of my hot sauce
1:41
Very good. And then I'm going to make a little blue cheese sauce. And you're talking about super simple, Jesse
1:47
Yep. Half a cup of mayonnaise, a fourth of a cup of blue cheese crumbles
1:52
a little garlic powder, a couple of teaspoons of milk to just make it spreadable
1:57
Right. A little salt and a little pepper. Just that easy. Yeah
2:03
I'm done. Look at that. Doesn't that look good? It sure does
2:07
and this is actually a common trick that I do when I get wings maybe left over and they were too hot
2:11
the kind that makes you sweat I'll put some butter in a skillet
2:15
and soften up that heat sometimes Look at this wonderful fresh bread that I have
2:19
I going to put on that eye if I can figure out which one that is Oh I got it right the first time Look this is so fresh Jesse Yes Oh this bread is There are few things better than fresh bread
2:31
Yes. Those chicken fingers are done. And we need your butt camera
2:36
Butt shot. All right. Are they hot? They are. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, they're hot enough
2:44
We got to put them in the pan? Yeah, let's do it in the pan. Yeah, we can get them all in there, and you can turn them with the tongs, right
2:50
We got us some nice, fresh bread toasting that I'm going to try not to burn
2:56
No, we're good. We're good. We're good. But I am going to go ahead and turn that off
3:01
Now this I want to see, because I've always wanted to know how to wrap up a sandwich
3:06
Well, honey, I don't know how to do it. Okay, well, we'll figure it out, right? I'm just going to feel my way, because mine doesn't usually last long enough to get wrapped
3:16
Yeah, I agree with that. I agree with that. Lettuce, tomato, red onion. You prefer red onion
3:20
to just regular old onions? Well, yeah, I kind of like it, but you know what
3:25
A Vidalia onion is hard to beat, isn't it? Yeah, I would agree
3:29
All right, so this is gonna be yours. Well, I'm waiting for you
3:32
Okay don wait on me Go ahead and start Okay How big can you make that bite Come on Come on Wow All on You remember that I think it was the scene in the movie Rocky where he talked to him about how to eat a cheese steak
3:44
You have to stand like this, so you don't get it on yourself. Yes. Or it'll get all over you
3:48
Dun, dun, dun, dun, dun, dun. Yeah, baby. Yeah, baby. You did it, Jesse
3:57
I ate it, and I liked it. That is wonderful. And see, I don't know if there's a right or a wrong way to wrap this, Jesse
4:07
But you see, I folded it up so that the juice won't run all over you
4:12
And then I folded back the top so your mouth could get to it
4:23
This is delicious. It is. Jesse. You just licked me
4:32
I did You need to learn How to wipe your damn mouth
4:36
If you don't want me To lick you Cheers Cheers We'll see y'all later
