Well, come on down here,
0:01
because I wanna get this next recipe goin',
0:04
and this is a no-cook, cookie dough truffle,
0:09
and we're gonna start with three quarters of a cup
0:14
of packed brown sugar, pack that in there good,
0:20
and another fourth. (upbeat music)
0:24
One stick of butter that's at room temperature,
0:29
and just cream that together.
0:35
I know some girls that say
0:38
by the time they get through tasting the dough,
0:40
there's none left to bake cookies.
0:42
Some people just love cookie dough,
0:46
so that's what these truffles are gonna taste like.
0:50
Okay, now I'm gonna measure out two cups of flour.
1:01
One teaspoon of vanilla extract.
1:09
All right, we're gonna add one can
1:11
of sweetened condensed milk.
1:21
Got that mixed together.
1:24
Now, when y'all popped back in on me, I was choppin' nuts.
1:27
I'm gonna need about a cup of chopped pecans.
1:31
You can use the nut of your choice.
1:36
So, bear with me while I get my nuts cut.
1:45
That looks about like a cup.
1:48
Now, I'm gonna add a half a cup
1:51
of little mini, semisweet chocolate morsels.
2:02
Then, we're just gonna mix that up,
2:05
and that looks like some
2:06
mighty fine cookie dough, doesn't it?
2:12
And then, we're gonna start rollin' our truffles.
2:15
Now, you'll want to take your hands
2:16
and dip 'em down in some flour,
2:19
because this cookie dough is gonna be a little sticky.
2:22
So, you just wanna roll 'em into balls,
2:25
about the size of a walnut, just like that.
2:33
You'll wanna keep your hands rolled in that flour,
2:39
otherwise, you're gonna have a sticky mess.
2:43
So, gonna roll these out,
2:47
stick these in the refrigerator
2:50
and let 'em sit for about two hours.
2:54
Now, I've got some down here
2:56
that I've had in the refrigerator chillin' for us.
3:02
So, here's our cookie dough after it's set up.
3:09
Now, back here behind me on the stove,
3:12
I've got some milk chocolate
3:16
that I melted over hot water,
3:20
and we're just gonna take our balls,
3:23
and we're just gonna run 'em
3:24
around in that chocolate, and lift 'em out.
3:33
Doesn't that look good?
3:41
The cookie dough lover in yo house
3:44
is gonna be so very happy.
3:48
And then, we're gonna let those set up in the refrigerator,
3:52
and let that chocolate harden on 'em,
3:54
and they're gonna be so good.
3:57
These cookies are the best in Savannah, Georgia.
4:03
Well, I've got those two girls
4:05
in the kitchen with me, y'all,
4:07
that I wanna introduce y'all to.
4:10
This is Amanda and this is Annette.
4:15
- Well, come on down here, girls,
4:16
'cause I want y'all to taste
4:19
these truffles that I made earlier.
4:24
They look pretty good, don't they?
4:27
And cookie dough, right up our alley. (all laughing)
4:32
Yes, y'all can really appreciate this.
4:34
All right, let's reach over here,
4:35
and y'all get ya one,
4:38
and tell me what you think.
4:40
- I can't believe I'm makin' cookies
4:42
for the Two Smart Cookies.
4:49
- Taste like cookie dough, doesn't it?
4:52
- But with chocolate on the outside.
4:54
- Couldn't be any better.
