Y'all, I'm back here in the kitchen with one of my favorite girlfriends in the whole world, Leanne Morgan
0:20
She is one of the funniest women, and she is on Cirrus
0:25
I feel like I'm mispronouncing Cirrus, and I'm supposed to say Sirius
0:30
but it's Cirrus XM Radio. We're gonna make a lightning-fast dish, y'all
0:38
and it's gonna be a black bean salsa. Now, they make a nice frozen corn that I love from the grocery store
0:45
Nowadays, they flash freeze it so it doesn't lose any of its nutrients
0:50
But I'm gonna show you a little trick that I just love. I'll get you started
0:55
We're going to use our cake pan. Jamie makes fun of me all the time
0:59
But this kind of keeps it in your container. Oh. And course, Jamie does it so fast that he gets corn everywhere
1:10
So I going to let you do that and then I take my knife and I run down the blade like that to get all that corn juice out of there because to me that is so good
1:23
So while you're doing that, I'm going to dice a couple of tomatoes
1:28
And y'all, it says to seed them. But I tell you what, I don't seed a tomato
1:34
because to me, if you do, there's nothing left to them. So I leave the seeds in there
1:40
I'm not offended by that at all. So tell everybody what you've been doing, Leanne
1:45
Well, I do my radio show every Tuesday live at a Nashville studio
1:49
All right, now, like, how many times is that run? They run it several times during the week
1:57
Oh, they do? And they run my comedy bits throughout the day, every day
2:01
Okay, do you ever go to Nashville and on stage? Yep, I do, like, five or six comedy clubs a year
2:08
Now, what is your favorite town to perform in? Austin, Texas. Them Texas people, I adore them
2:19
Their hearts are as big as their state. And they love, I'm from Tennessee
2:23
they love us because of Davy Crockett. Oh, no. Yeah. The Alamo they take that very serious If it weren for us Santa Ana would own Texas Uh So yeah it would be part of Mexico so they dig us So they flat serious
2:39
Yeah. So we've got our onion and our tomato. All right, now I'm going to hope and pray
2:46
I hope I did this corn all right. Oh, it's perfect, honey. I'm just going to hope and pray that this avocado's wrong
2:52
Oh, yay. All right, now all you have to do is take that seed
2:56
and pop it with a knife. As soon as we get this avocado diced, I'm going to need for you to juice those limes on top of this avocado
3:06
Because, I mean, as soon as air hits it, it'll start turning brown
3:12
All right, you know I'm on hormones, a little bit of progesterone, a little bit of testosterone
3:16
What did you just say to me? I said squeeze that lime, honey
3:23
On top of that avocado. Directly on the avocado. I think that sounded familiar
3:27
Yes, because that lime juice is going to stop that from browning
3:32
Oh, praise God. You see what I'm saying? Yes. So after you get all your prep done, this really is a lightning fast dish, y'all
3:43
You know if you just had a little kitchen person back there doing your prep And of course like I said you can always use the frozen corn That really cuts down on time And you know what If you hard
3:56
you can go to the produce department at the grocery store and you can buy the onion already chopped
4:00
Perfect, darling. All right, so we're just gonna add our corn, and if you throw those black beans in here
4:06
we've got us a lightning fast sauce. I'll see. All right, and then I'm gonna do
4:14
a little red wine vinegar. All right, I'm just going to put this
4:21
in a pretty little wooden bowl. Come taste. Mm, but that's good
4:26
Oh, and look, I'm going to make sure I get me an avocado. That's good and fresh
4:34
Mm. Isn't that yummy? Mm-hmm. You could take that to a party
4:41
You could take it to a party, honey, in a New York minute. In fact, we got a party right over yonder
4:47
And if we don't have a party, we're going to go to a party. We're going to make a party
4:54
Y'all dig in
