Baked beans just go with so many things
0:03
Well, let's move down here to another one of my favorite foods, salsa
0:08
I'm going to start with an avocado, and I'm just going to run my knife around and give it a twist
0:16
and go in and just loosen that avocado from the skin. I adore avocados
0:27
and I'm just going to dice him up just like this. Okay, pop that seed out of there
0:42
It does look like a big bean, doesn't it? You know, I always said that I didn't like avocados
0:49
and then I found out that they were fattening and I said, well, I know if it's fattening, I should like it
0:55
So I went back and I gave it another try, and sure enough, I loved them
1:01
But they say they have the good kind of fat in them, not bad fat
1:08
All right. Now I'm going to pour in two tablespoons of lime juice
1:16
And I'm going to add my black beans, and I've got two cans of black beans
1:20
a little red wine vinegar, two tomatoes that I've diced up, diced onion and this is just a frozen shoe peg corn
1:44
Okay, all this needs now is a little cilantro. Some people don't like cilantro
1:51
It was another thing that had to grow on me. I really like it now
1:55
Not a whole lot of it, though. because to me, a little of this goes a long way
2:04
And now it's ready just that quickly. This is gonna do nicely
2:16
I think I am gonna add a little salt and a little pepper, just right
2:28
Let's see. Think I'm just gonna do it like this. That'll make me a nice little scooper
2:38
So we got two quick and easy dishes. And I have found that when young people come to my house
2:46
they'll scoff this up in a minute because they feel like they're eating kind of healthy
2:53
But look how pretty and quick that was for us to put together
2:57
And you're gonna love with your different colored chips and all the different flavors we've got going on in there
