I'm gonna move down here and share with you a recipe called a banana doodle cookie
0:06
So we're gonna start with, oops, whoa! We're gonna start with a broken dish, one cup of broken glass
0:15
a half a cup of butter, and a half a cup of solid shortening
0:20
And if you just start beating up those with that mixer. So softened butter, I like that
0:26
So while you're creaming that, let me go ahead and add one and a half cups of sugar
0:33
There you go. I kind of have a feeling that maybe these are going to taste a little like a snickerdoodle
0:40
Ooh. You like snickerdoodle? I do like snickerdoodle. I like just saying snickerdoodle
0:45
I like saying snickerdoodle too. All right, so I'm going to measure out our dry ingredients
0:50
and I'm going to need two and three quarters of all-purpose flour
0:56
two teaspoons of cream of tarda, one teaspoon of baking soda
1:09
and a half a teaspoon of cinnamon. Oh, I'm going to turn that off
1:15
Wait for you. There we go. Yeah, I'm almost caught up with you
1:18
Half a teaspoon of salt, and I'm just going to kind of whisk that up
1:24
Turn that baby on high, honey. Press it up. Press it up
1:28
It'll go to like seven. There you go. And we'll add one egg at a time
1:37
Okay. Second egg. Who taught you how to cook? My grandmother taught me how to cook
1:43
I'm the youngest of three girls. I was a little baby, so she couldn't put me down
1:48
So she's trying to knead dough holding me on her tail. And now we add our one mashed banana Cut that down just a little bit How about four Because we don want to wear the flour We just want to put it in here y
2:08
All right, now I'm going to dump the rest of that in. All right. And I'm going to add a teaspoon of vanilla
2:15
Okay. There we go. Maybe a little bit more. That looked like a little more
2:20
I wasn't going to say anything. Who's measuring? Can't go wrong with vanilla. All right
2:23
It's all good. Now we're going to put about three-quarters of a cup of walnuts
2:33
All right. You can put as many nuts as you like. Two little two
2:37
Or you can take the nuts out if you don't like them
2:41
What we're going to do now is we're going to roll these. So come on over there and flour your hands
2:47
Yes. So they won't stick. Floured. Okay. Because we got all that butter in them
2:53
All right. Into our sugar cinnamon. And then on to our parchment paper
3:00
Gotcha. And we're going to put about eight cookies on this cookie sheet
3:06
Okay. All right. So I'm going to run over and put these in the oven
3:16
If you'll grab that other pan back there. Will do. And be getting those ready
3:20
Now, these are going in the oven, y'all, a 400-degree oven for about 10 minutes
3:26
And they're going to spread out and get big. Do you know what else is ready
3:31
What's that? Oh, cookies. Our banana doodle cookies. All right. I got one eye on this
3:36
You check those cookies. Okay. What we got going? They smell really good
3:40
Oh, my gosh. Look, they kind of look like a snickerdoodle. Banana doodles
3:46
Yes. Those are beautiful. and I can see the cinnamon and the sugar coating on them
