Let's talk about tomatoes

A lot of people don't realize how to store them and keep them fresher longer

A lot of people think that you should put them in the refrigerator, which is exactly the opposite of what you should do

You should never refrigerate a tomato. It's the quickest, most surefire way to get a mealy tomato

So don't put them in the fridge. And if you store them like this on top of each other in a bowl, it looks really nice

It's a beautiful bounty from Mother Nature, but they're actually kind of squishing each other

So what you need to do is get them separated and put them stem side down on top of a paper towel on a baking sheet

And that will allow very little air to get to the tomato, and it'll keep it from oxidizing

And these will store and keep longer if you use this tip at home
