Hey, welcome back y'all to International Meals today
0:04
And as promised, I've got my ground beef brown while y'all are away
0:08
Now I've got about an extra pound here that I'm not going to need for our spaghetti sauce
0:14
So I'm going to pull out about a pound, leaving us approximately a pound and a half
0:20
because we're going to use this in a few minutes in another dish
0:24
All right, now to our ground beef, I'm going to add one onion that's been chopped
0:31
one green bell pepper, one clove of minced garlic
0:44
and we're just going to saute that off just for a couple of minutes
0:50
The name of this spaghetti sauce is Alice Jo's spaghetti sauce. This is what Alice Jo
1:00
cooks for the seniors at the church. Everybody has their own way of making spaghetti. I have
1:07
my own personal way the way I like to make it And you know it just one of those dishes that you can personalize and make your own but today we going to do it Alice Jo way
1:18
Now to this, I'm going to add a tablespoon of Italian seasoning
1:24
Miss Alice Jo puts in two tablespoons of sugar, which I don't normally do when I make spaghetti
1:31
and I'm going to use a tablespoon of Worcestershire. All right, now I'm going to add two six-ounce cans of tomato paste
1:41
All right, now I'm going to add a can of diced tomatoes or stewed tomatoes
1:50
All right, now I'm going to put a little bit of salt
1:54
I'm going to add a can of tomato sauce. and then I'm gonna add a cup of water
2:06
and I'm just gonna clean out that tomato sauce bowl by pouring my water over in there
2:13
and just rinsing all of that sauce out of there. So I gonna bring this back to a roll and boil and then I gonna cover it and I gonna let it simmer for about 30 minutes So I got another pot ready down here So I just gonna take this lid and cover that
2:35
So you can see what our spaghetti sauce looks like after simmering for 30 minutes
2:40
It's rich, thick, just loaded with flavor. All right, our noodles should be ready
2:47
And I'm using a box pasta, y'all. And I'm just going to drain this
3:02
A few shakes, and back in the pot it goes. Oh, it's so good
3:13
And Miss Alice Jo takes some of her sauce and tosses everything together
3:22
Oh, it looks so yummy. Okay. Now to plate this I got my spaghetti spoon These are wonderful if you don have one of these you want to see that you get you one You can buy them at the grocery store
3:45
you know, in that section where they have different utensils. Okay. All right, now I'm going to just add
3:52
some extra sauce to that. Mmm. All right, that just looks perfectly yummy
4:00
I'm going to just dust it with a little Parmesan cheese. And I've got a little mozzarella salad over here
4:07
and some French bread to go with it. Mm. Look how yummy
4:21
I can't hardly wait to taste it. And I'm gonna put some butter on it
4:29
and eat it the way I like it. Mm-mm, mm-mm, mm-mm. Mmm
4:43
That fixed it right up, Alice Jo. You forgot that stick of butter, honey
